Don't be afraid of your own potential!

Image
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF YOUR OWN POTENTIAL. Potential is discussed often, and a lot of times that is where we stay. We think about what could have been, what should have been, and what life may have been if we made a particular decision. The crazy part is that we are staying at the point of only a thought and a possibility. We are afraid of the possibility because we do not know the outcome. This is why many people push and encourage others to just start somewhere, and this is petitioned all over the “encouragement scene”. It is not only about starting; you have to get rid of the fear that existed in the first place. As addressed in the previous post, it is important to get rid of fear. God didn’t give it to you! You don’t keep fear or coddle fear. Any potential that God has given can and will come into reality. What we have to face is that we muffle that potential because we want to accomplish it in our own might. For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be wi

Happy New Year's Eve and Year !!!!

Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by my page on New year's Eve inclusive of all of the festivities beginning tonight. On the other hand my New years will be very relaxed and as they have been for the past  few years lol. In either case enjoy God in whatever you do not only tonight at watch night service but everyday of the year. God blessed me and my husband by sharing this revelation that everyday you are alive it is a new year because it's one year from the exact same time of the previous year. I encourage everyone to live life with the same excitement, fulfillment and willingness to change for the betterment (through Christ) as if we are always in a new year. Be blessed and thank God for another day !! Be very careful, then, how you live —not as unwise but as wise,   16  making the most of every opportunity,  because the days are evil.   17  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5:15-17

Dont be moved

Image
Wow, time flies ! I started to write about this topic almost a year ago but never completed it. I read the subject line and to my amazement the title "don't be moved" has such a greater meaning to me!  This year I preached at our 2015 Gatherinng of the sons conference and the message was entitled "you didn't see anything coming" and oh how God moved. In the teaching I began to encourage the people not to be moved, and more specifically not to be moved by people. Our actions can not be contingent upon our own feelings and what we think. Our purpose and plans should consist of living a life that is pleasing to Christ and our walks with Him exemplify Him. If we focus on the true purpose and goal which IS HIM. We won't be moved, or bothered by what we tend to perceive as traumatic, life altering events.  People of God, focus on the Lord and you CANNOT GO WRONG.  Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves

Let God be your source of validation.

Image
It is important to let God be your validation. Seeking man for validation or allowing man to become your sole and primary source of validation can kill you. Yes, either way you may be thinking about it spiritually or naturally. To Validate something means to make valid, substantiate to confirm. How can a person or an object be completely considered validated or confirmed by someone or something that did not make it. It would be pointless and make their validation vain because man did not make you. God, Jehovah Jireh, Yahweh has made you so therefore He can be your only true source of validation. People can change all the time, one minute they love you and the next they hate you. If you place your validation and who you are and how you feel about yourself in people, you will become  unstable. Instability breeds instability. But God is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13: 8). God is not like man. He validates you through Him, who is constant and loving.  I would r

God IS the answer

Hey All, I hope you all find this blog in good health and spirits.  I have just read the most silly post and I have to talk about it. A young lady, the founder of  "For Black Girls", has supposedly committed suicide at 22 yrs. old. I am not sure as to how accurate this is, however, I still wanted to talk about what this article said. I believe that now there is a misconception that people NEED anti- depressants, because of " mental illnesses".  This young lady supposedly suffered from a mental illness, and depression. The person in the article went on to discuss how thy received Zoloft and now they are so changed, and how blacks shy from anti- depressants... blah.. blah...   I think it is silly for those people who do not believe in (Jesus), yes they may have a harder time with certain things, so somethings that they may suffer from will never change. There fore, they may actually act "crazy", and have to take anti- depressants but as for a believer,

My prayer and what is on my heart at the moment..

My prayer is that we do not become our climate. Throughout the different places that I have lived it has been my experience that people are literally influenced by their literal climate that they live in. I am originally from the east cost, upstate New York.  There, You have tons of water and trees and signs of life every where you look. Not saying that there are not signs of life any where else but it just seems so much more abundant there. Although, where I come from is not perfect either, I also can appreciate some of the people that were great that I knew and for the time that I was there. Now, I do not hear from really anyone from back at home. From time to time my lovely older sister hits me up, which I appreciate her for but other than that for most people it is out of sight out of mind.  When I went to Florida also somewhat the same kind of scenery, BEAUTIFUL, people were just very carefree and personable, but now the people that I once knew same actions: out of sight out of
